11/10/22 - Not much action with the camera lately. We had been spending a lot of time in the car searching for a particular bird in a large area, unfortunately without success. We were rewarded with some interesting sightings while looking.
We are on the way home, a bit earlier than planned so this will be the last post for this trip.

02/10/22 - We explored the area around Narembeen, then moved on to Hazelmere, an outer suburb the Perth Hills. Wildlife was more varied as the images show. We will be starting to move east tomorrow (03 Oct) wending our way homewards.
20/09/22 - Our stay in Wandering has been relatively quiet with the wildlife sparse. We did accomplish our aim of seeing a Numbat in the Dryandra Woodlands but it was too quick for a photo.
We are off to another small town called Narembeen where we will have access to Wave Rock, a place we have missed during previous trips.

13/09/22 - Since Kalbarri, we have stopped at Northam - approx. 100km east of Perth then into Perth for 2 days to get the car serviced.
Next stop is a small town called Wandering which will give us access to the Dryandra Woodlands. Our main target there is to see a Numbat, keeping an eye out for anything else, of course.

05/09/22 - Just had 5 days at Kalbarri W.A. exploring the national park. A few images of the gorges and weathering of rocky ridges in the park.
The Rock-wallabies are the result of a successful recovery program after the animal was thought to be extinct in the area until a sighting in 2015.
I have always wanted to see a Thorny Devil in its natural habitat and was very pleased to get close enough to take some images.

29/08/22 - We spent most of the last week exploring Karijini N.P. With so many visitors (many West Australians exploring their own state) and us among the rest, we concentrated on what was around us without rigorously looking for wildlife. Some did come our way as the images below show. We are currently in Carnarvon before heading a bit further south to Kalbarri to see the wildflowers - we have been told that it is the best display in 15 years.
22/08/22 - Since leaving Norseman, we have styed at Leonora, Sandstone and Cue. We are overnighting at Newman and leaving tomorrow for Auski Roadhouse where we will stay for four nights. From Auski we will access Karijini N.P. and then begin our journey south again. The weather is a lot warmer now, so hopefully there will be more varied wildlife around.
13/08/22 - It has been a while between posts. We have had poor internet while crossing the Nullarbor. We are now in Norseman, WA, for 3 nights before we start to head north, hopefully for some warmth. Days have generally been OK but the nights are freezing.
The images in this post are from some of the stops we have had.

04/08/22 - Leaving home our first stop was Wedderburn for an overnight stop before heading for Red Cliffs, south of Mildura. Our main aim was to chase the elusive Mallee Emu-wren in Hattah-Kulkyne N.P. which had thwarted us for many visits.
This time we were successful, seeing 2 pair and hearing a third pair. The bonus was getting some images of a male amongst the spinifex.
We are in Waikerie SA tonight leaving for Bolivar tomorrow, an outer northern suburb of Adelaide, then to Port Augusta for 2 nights.
Here are some images from the trip so far.
